SEE THE NEED
The excellence of our educational program has prompted the Ministry of Education of the Dominican Republic to urge us to transform our high school into a technical school. This would allow us to offer college credit courses right on campus and take our program to its highest level. It would also make it the only technical school in the Municipality of Sosua where our schools are located. But to do that, we have to build new facilities and make room for an increasing school body. We need your help to make this dream a reality!
CATCH THE VISION
Transforming our school into a community technical school means that impoverished youth can get a leg up on a college degree studying right in their own neighborhood. Earning credit in Tourism/Hospitality (the driving economic engine of our region) and Computer Science will put the on a path to lift themselves out of poverty and show the world what can be done when goodhearted people join together in a single vision for a common good.
BE A PART
The cost for Phase 3 construction for this coming school year is $135,000 US ($180,000 CAD). Donations can be made online by clicking on the Donate Now button below or by sending a check to your country’s corresponding PO Box address listed at the bottom of this page. All donations are tax deductible for US and Canadian citizens.
ThE THree PHASE CAMPAIGN:
PHASE #1 (COMPLETED!)
Construct three auditorium-style classrooms that will receive the added enrollment of students from the surrounding villages.
phase #2 (COMPLETED!)
Build the ground floor of the beautiful building that will serve as the technical center for the entire high school campus. See rendering below.
phase #3 (august 2025)
Complete the dream! Add the second floor and restrooms to the technical center making it the best and most advanced in the Province of Puerto Plata.
